It was called Malescum in Roman times. Surrounded by forests and dominated by mountain groups to the south, Malesco is a small hamlet in the Vigezzo valley. The parish church of Saints Peter and Paul, in spite of its simple exteriors, has numerous frescoes from the 18th century and an important Baroque-style body. More elaborate is the Baroque oratory of St. Bernard of Siena, just next to the church.
