Cadenabbia is the small hamlet in the village of Griante. One of the hypotheses about his name wants is that it comes from the contraction of “Cà dei Nauli”, or “Casa dei barcaioli”. In fact, in this place there was an inn, a stopover for the boatmen (nauli), who with their boats, transported goods from Como and Lecco to the coasts. For some time it was one of the favorite places the British, who founded an important community.
