Ancient Cloister – Bressanone

Dating back to the 14th century, this ancient Romanesque cloister is also known as the “Bible of the Poor”, as it is rich in paintings depicting the main scenes narrated in the Sacred Scriptures. Along the side walls are also preserved ancient sarcophagi of illustrious figures of antiquity and prelates, in addition to frescoes concerning the classical age. Noteworthy are the representation of the elephant and the adoration of the Three Kings.
