Along the fascinating terraced frame of the Cinque Terre, many lovers of challenges and breathtaking landscapes meet every year for the SciaccheTrail, a highly spectacular race through the roads of the Sciacchetrà passito wine.
There are two events per year, one in winter and one in spring.
The SciaccheTrail Vertical Race takes place around Christmas, an uphill competition from the sea of Manarola up to the Tre Croci hill lit by the illuminated nativity scene by Mario Andreoli, whose size has given it a place in the Guinness Book of Records since 2007. In spring, the frame changes colour for the Ultra Trail, a 47 km race with a vertical drop of 2,600 metres, starting and ending in Monterosso al Mare, open to a maximum of 300 athletes.
In this place where the tenacity of the winemakers parallels that of the athletes, taking on the slopes overlooking the sea, you will have a truly unique experience of the Cinque Terre.
