This event was born in 1938, and today it is one of the most sought-after gastronomic and folk festivals of the Venetian region. The Chioggia Fish Festival is now an institution, and every year it attracts growing numbers of enthusiasts, locals and tourists. In the marvellous old town centre, known as “little Venice”, for ten consecutive nights you can enjoy the fishermen’s traditional dishes that made Chioggia’s gastronomy so famous. Grilled fish, sardines in saor, marinated cuttlefish in polenta, bibarasse in cassopipa and much more in the numerous stands set up by many associations for this feast dedicated to the incredible flavours of the lagoon and the sea. A tasty and unforgettable event, especially for those who love fish.
