In May and June, in the late afternoon, one of the most awaited annual events takes place in Siracusa: classical performances held at the Greek Theater, within the Archaeological Park of Neapolis. From the top of the Temenite Hill, ideal for both panoramic and acoustical locations, the magic of the Greek myth and the great theatre awaken. To see the ancient Greek tragedies and comedies played in their original scenario is a spectacular show. The Siracusa stage, one of the oldest in the world, is the ideal place to take a look at the contemporary scene through myth. Original languages and forms through which the great talents of the theatre, both Italian and international, renew great ancient dramaturgy. Given the Sicilian temperatures in late Spring, we always recommend that you bring a hat and plenty of water.
