Smell terrific after this tour of a master perfumer's workshop in a Renaissance palace in Florence. Learn how he chooses his ingredients, makes his perfumes and sniffs out an amazing fragrance. Then make your own! Leave with a small bottle of your own bespoke fragrance and a certificate signed by the fragrance master himself.
The lesson will take place in a historic, atmospheric workshop dating back to 1700. In centuries of experience this historic lab has mixed the scientific knowledge of medical care together with the empirical knowledge of the healing properties of herbs, flowers and fruits. You will relive the magical atmosphere of alchemists and apothecaries residing in Florence during the Renaissance period, surrounded by unique glassware, ampules and rare essences.Following the historical footprints of Catherine de Medici and René le Florentine, your master perfumer will guide you through the process which will ultimately lead to the creation of your unique personal fragrance. At the end of the workshop, you will be rewarded with a 50ml bottle of your own personalized perfume. Each participant will also receive a certificate as a memory of the day. Structure of the course:
The course consists of a theoretical and a practical part. Topics include the history of Perfumery, the choice of materials and their origin, the production techniques, the process of creating a bespoke perfume, the dilution and the bottling. Focus on the creation of a unique and personal scent, blending together aromatic notes of several raw materials.
